Happy 2022!

Here our staff is seen in the middle of delivering mealie meal and cooking oil- staples in Zambian cooking to our Deaf families during COVID school closures.

With a new year, we have a new student!  We’ve had two new students join since I was away in the US.  We’ve also welcomed a new member to our staff- a deaf community member that started volunteering with us, and is now joining our kitchen team and helping with our “kiddie classes”. We love that our Centre is growing, and we’ve been able to provide more opportunities for deaf children and the Deaf community!

The new school year has been pushed back until January 24th due to covid restrictions, however during this time we have been able to deliver groceries to our Deaf families using our new bus!

We are offering sign language classes to all of our parents and we continue to have workshops for teachers to enhance and improve our standards of education. We strive for excellence and will continue our dedication in teaching our Deaf students, families, and community. We hope to re-start regularly scheduled adult sign language classes for family and community members soon.
